MIRROR OF THE WORLD 


Strolling on the beach
Listening soft music of the waves
Calm ringlet waves play around my feet
I'm touched by the humility
Of voyage and vastness of sea

High tide of the sea 
Turns calm waves into ferocious reptiles
Ready to destroy everything around
Just like history part of it known
And lots of it unknown

Stories of  past happenings
Written on stones by early humans
Before the writing began
Herodotus the father of history
Wrote down first chronicle
Of that time in 5th Century BC

 History's ship is an inquiry
Continuously cruising over
Social, political and religious happenings
Of the people who make history
While living through it

History an evolutionary reference
For shaping future
It may not be laughter, love and happiness always
It bleeds when people die
Under the covers of politics
Religions and social injustice

History searches
For  goodness and purity
Of the heart, heads and actions
Carries all 
The best and the worst

History becomes
A mirror of the world 
Of the  known 
And the unknown
