LET'S PAUSE AND PONDER




                                                     LET'S  PAUSE  AND  PONDER
                                     

                                Whether it is New Delhi or New York
                                Whether it is in Dhaka or Dallas
                                Whether Kashmir or anywhere else
                                Some people are on the brink of madness
                                All over the world rampant is chaos
                                And families filled with sadness 

                               Whether I read a news or see a news
                               There are people crying
                               And people dying
                               So many lives wasted
                               So many dreams crashed
                               Lying with open still eyes and hands outstretched

                               What must be their last thoughts
                               What must be their lives
                               Each one of them had a story of their own
                               Come let us pray for their peace

                                Before we go back to our normal lives
                                We must pause and ponder, why 
                                So much violence why
                                Every corner of the world 
                                Is inked with  blood why

                               Should we not find another way to be together
                               Should we not have more tolerance of one another
                               Should we not live in peace with each other
                                
                                Let us erase the rigidity
                                Let us welcome the arrival of global citizen
                                Let us pause and ponder 
                                Let no life  be cut short 
                                Let every dream be fulfilled 
                               And let there be peace
