WAITING
WAITING
Standing at a traffic light
A little boy peeps into the car window
Shivering
Tears gleaming in his eyes.
Pushed away by crinkled nose
And shooed away by raised eyebrows
He stands silent- like a question mark.
What?
Someone asked
He does not answer
His silence cries out
For love...
Craving for care.
Yes-- he is human
Yes --he is reduced to a gutter
At whom you laugh and sneer.
Sleeping at night
With open eyes...
The young boy longing for
The milk of kindness
Waiting for humanity
To save him.
Will someone peep
Into the gutters of humanity?
Standing at a traffic light
A little boy peeps into the car window
Shivering
Tears gleaming in his eyes.
Pushed away by crinkled nose
And shooed away by raised eyebrows
He stands silent- like a question mark.
What?
Someone asked
He does not answer
His silence cries out
For love...
Craving for care.
Yes-- he is human
Yes --he is reduced to a gutter
At whom you laugh and sneer.
Sleeping at night
With open eyes...
The young boy longing for
The milk of kindness
Waiting for humanity
To save him.
Will someone peep
Into the gutters of humanity?
Will someone dare and come?
