The eternal phenomenon
Impermanence - true nature of life
Nothing remains the same
Living or the non-living 

A bud blossoms into a flower
Pupa into a butterfly
Mountains mutate to become volcanoes
Throwing up lava and fire 

Rivers change course before embracing the sea
Nurturer of fishes, corals and reefs
Sudden tsunami transforms calm sea
Into a savage crushing crumbling
Living and the non-living 

We too are transient
From baby to an adult
Then mellow down to old age
Before submerging into our creator

Thinking changes
Feelings change
Money wins friends
Money shrinks - so do friends 

Connections have value
And not the values
Can we handle transience
We appreciate the beauty of flower
But do we cry when it withers 

Ego creates trouble
Being egoless brings happiness

Accept good times with grace
When not so good comes
Bend before you break 

Accept impermanence
Honor the true nature of life
Accept transition of the living
And the non-living 

Enjoy life as it unfolds itself 
Life is beautiful
As good as you make it
