THE UNBORN





                                                            THE UNBORN



                                     I carry within me -
                                     My sailing soul....
                                     My sweat  - my blood
                                     And my serum
                                     Multitudes of men and women
                                     Creatures big and small.

                                    The birds , the beasts
                                    The plants and the trees
                                    I carry them all within me
                                    Along with my thoughts....
                                    They walk beside me-  
                                    Persisting ...
                                    Insisting...
                                    Clawing my mind
                                    Dawdling to their future...
                                   Creating their own destinies...
                                   On the verge of my endurance
                                    Longing to be home.

                                   Did I call them?

                                  May be  yes-
                                  They brought me a letter
                                  Stamped with hope 
                                  Sealed with conviction.
                                 Or 
                                 Is it the womb in me ?
                                 Bearing the half-crescent moon
                                 The tender touch of life
                                 And I see my eternity...
