                                  Sitting on the bank I see the flowing river
                                  Wind making gentle ripples on water
                                  River receives everything...
                                  The filth of the cities 
                                  And human beings

                                  But water purifies itself
                                  Of all impurities
                                   As a woman does
                                   The ego, the atrocities of men

                                  River flowing like a woman
                                  Through hills and planes 
                                  Maneuvering mountains
                                  Hiding in crevices 
                                  Ebbing under pebbles and stones
                                  Brazing hurdles 
                                  Then oozing out again
                                  Swaying voluptuous like a woman
                                  After facing the boons and banes of life
                                  Rising high in the journey of life

                                 A woman 
                                 A  river
                                 Ganga - Yamuna - Saraswati
                                 All named after a woman
                                 A nurturer
                                Crystal clear gliding grace
                                Roaring at times and uprooting
                                To make the new beginnings
                                Nourishing... nurturing
                                A  river
                                A woman
